  • Creating Independence

SSC’s philosophy of Care is built upon the importance of empowerment, respect and promoting the individuality of the person.

  • Passionate about what we do

SSC is not a faceless organisation, with both directors being ‘hands on’ in the delivery of the service. We ensure that every individual supported by the service is treated with the upmost dignity and respect along with their religious, cultural and spiritual values.

  • Commited Staff

SSC prides itself on its low turnover of staff and its commitment to not using agency staff.

  • Understanding individual needs

At SSC the person is supported rather than just their diagnosis.

  • Bespoke Care Packages

All support plans are written in conjunction with the person receiving support and reviewed by the Organisation’s RMHN.

  • 24/7 support

SSC provides a variety of support packages but predominantly provides 24 hour Care packages.

With the support of SS Care Jessica enjoys a number of activities including short holidays , which has greatly helped her gain new social skills. Jessica has a trusting relationship with her support workers ,who give her care and respect at all times. As the parents of Jessica we are able to sleep soundly at night knowing she is in safe hands.

My brother Darren’s care is excellent. Whenever we visit he seems to be happy. His carers are always very welcoming to us when we visit. His carers make sure he does not spend too long in his wheelchair or his bed which reduces the chance of bed sores.  Darren’s carers know what makes him tick and make good use of this knowledge. Communication is very difficult as Darren’s speech is extremely poor but there are large posters with words and pictures so Darren can point to what he wants whether it be choice of meal or to go to the toilet or many other things. Darren has plenty of dvds to watch, magazines to look at, family photos are on display and his photo albums are close to hand. He is taken out on trips regularly. It’s great to hear that he spends time in a swimming pool again as he used to love the water. It is good to know that Darren is in good hands and is having a good quality life. I can highly recommend SSC.
